A web event entitled "Recognition and management of Adverse Events to COVID vaccines" was successfully concluded, organized by the Allergy College under the auspices of the Allergy Units of the 2nd Pediatric and 2nd Dermatology Clinics of the NKUA. Distinguished commentators included the NKUA Rector, Prof MA Dimopoulos, and Professors S.Tsiodras, M,Theodoridou, A. Germenis, A. Katoulis, V.Papaevangelou, N.Stefanis, M.Tsolia.
The main conclusions of the event, which was attended by more than 1500 health professionals, was that the adverse reactions to COVID vaccines are usually mild, while rare severe reactions can be managed by well-trained and prepared personnel. Training for the management of possible adverse events to vaccines will continue, in the context of the State-of-the-Art Congress, February 4-7 (www.allergycongress.gr).
